Our Respiratory Pathogen Panels (RPP) detect Covid-19, common respiratory pathogens like Influenza, RSV, and Pneumonia, as well as many less common pathogens. From a single nasal or nasopharyngeal swab, GRI Labs can detect Covid-19 as well as common and not-so-common respiratory tract microbiota (RTM).

Covid-19 Only
Our “gold-standard” PCR-based diagnostic test detects the presence of an active Covid-19 infection.
Covid-19 with Flu, RSV, and Pneumonia (RTM-B)
Patients presenting with respiratory symptoms may have Covid-19 or a wide variety of other respiratory ailments that may have a similar presentation. Our PCR-Based Basic Respiratory Tract Microbiota (RTM-B) panel detects the most common respiratory ailments, including the following:

Both Covid-19 and flu can have symptoms that range from none (asymptomatic) to severe. Symptoms common to both ailments include cough, fever, shortness of breath, fatigue, stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, headache, body ache, diarrhea, and vomiting. With a single swab, our RTM-B test can determine which illness is present so that the right course of treatment can be established quickly. Many state departments of health, including the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, have recommended testing for Covid-19, flu and RSV at the same time:
Comprehensive Respiratory Pathogen Panel (RTM-C)
While most of the time our Basic RPP test will uncover the pathogen causing respiratory distress, some less common pathogens are detected only by our Comprehensive Respiratory Tract Microbiota panel (RTM-C). Our RTM-C panel detects up to 33 different bacterial and viral pathogens including Covid-19. Full details of pathogens detected are shown below.
